As the mommy of 7 Jack Russell terriers, 5 of them are the "kids" of Lucy and Snoopy, I thought the same thing, that Lucy wasn't feeding them enough. I put a cup of puppy chow in the blender and made a powder and added warm water to make a kind of puppy "oatmeal". They soon found the bowl and sucked the puppy pablum up quite noisily.

They were only about 3 weeks old then and rarely did they or do they vomit. Those babies are now a year and half old and are the healthiest bunch of dogs they can be. As I write this, all 7 of them are under the blanket with me, sleeping.
