Right click and go to Properties. Then click on Desktop. When you have the desktop clear of browsers, right click and go to Properties.
Then click on Desktop. There you can change the image that you see on your desktop. If you try that and you are still seeing an old picture at the start up, you may need to take your comnputer to be serviced.

This steps are worth a try. First: Go to start button(windows button on left bottom) click it. Go to programs option (just highlight it do not click it).
It will be there when you click start button. Second:On highlighting the programs option you will see startup option,Third:Move the cursor and click on it there you will see the picture name that the previous owner has put up. Fourth:Right click it and delete it.
