When is issac newton's OFFCIALL birthday? I've have searched the web and cant seem to find it. The websites all have different information?

Prof. Hatch of the University of Florida states: "Isaac Newton was born prematurely on Christmas day 1642 (4 January 1643, New Style)" (clas.ufl.edu/users/rhatch/pages/01-Cours...) which hints at the cause for confusion, where some sources state Newton was born on Dec. 25, 1642. The issue is that Dec.25, 1642 is the "old style" (or OS) date of Newton's birth, which was in use in England at the time. There is a 10 day correction needed to go from dates in OS to "new style" (or NS) between 1500 and 1700 AD (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Style_and_New_Style_dates).

Hence, Dec.25, 1642 OS is Jan. 4, 1643 NS.

Sir Isaac Newton by the Gregorian Calendar( the one most people now follow) was born, January 4th 1643, by the Julian Calender his birthday would have been December 25th 1642. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isaac_Newton For information on the difference in calendars, check out this link. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Style_and_New_....

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
