Sadly we have a very long wait. Dexter Season 4 will premiere fall of 2009. If it is like the other three seasons, it will premiere in the end of September (I haven't found a source that says the exact date).
Season 4 is scheduled to go into production in the spring of 2009. Dexter Season 4 Promo youtube.com/watch?v=MEIO3OuoKT4.
They are not flashbacks, they are direct effects of Dexter's psychosis. He sees his father most likely because of the intense appreciation, admiration, and influence which he and his father shared for one another. However it is not actually his father, rather a personification of an hallucinogenic embodiment of his own cognition.
Throughout filmography this type of delirium is often represented by miniature demons on ones shoulders. S father represents the precise and clear side of his thinking process, the reason; however with most patients suffering from this extreme, Dexter's emotional side often crosses over, even controls the personification of his father, and thus we get the opposition and obverse angelic shoulder friend. This is a better picture in fact of what this type of mental conflict represents within than the angel demon portrayal.

The flashbacks are meant to show Dexter evolving as a serial killer while he receives tips from his adoptive father (a deceased police officer who helped teach him both the right way and the right people to kill), while he learns from his mistakes (of which he has had very few), and while he continues to perfect his unique murder technique.
You can go to ninjavideo. Net right now and watch the 1st episode of season 4. It is a pre-air season special AWESOME!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
