When is the best time of year to visit San Diego, California?

San Diego's weather doesn't change much, so it depends on where you are coming from... Not to answer a question with a question, but it really may depend on when it is best to get away from wherever you are based. I visited La Jolla & San Diego regularly, often several times a year, for over 20 years from 1971 to 1993, and the area tends to be beautiful almost year-round. There's some pattern of it being slightly gray and drizzly in June and December, but even those months in San Diego tend to be better than the best months in lots of other places.

Most of the things that attract people to San Diego are year-round features, but I recommend Easter brunch at the Hotel del Coronado, Jack O'Brien's theater productions at the Old Globe theater in Balboa Park, spring skinny dipping at Black's Beach, and walking around the Cove in La Jolla most any time. I'd avoid June and December, and specifically I don't know why anyone would ever choose to spend Christmas in a place where it is perpetually Spring. That doesn't narrow it down much, but sometimes the best answers are the answers that get you to think about what you are seeking, and what you are getting away from, no?

Summer Months - July/August San Diego is beautiful, especially in the summer. Because most of San Diego County is along the shoreline, the weather is perfect at around 80 degrees and it is a great time to visit the beaches. I recommend checking out La Jolla Cove (in La Jolla).

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
