QUESTION OF THE WEEK Oldppie Isn't it a bit early for this? Details: Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Christmas music in moderation, but one of the radio stations around here has been playing solid Christmas music since the first weekend in November. Enough already!

In my area we have several stations that play only Christmas songs 24/7. In years past, they started the day after Thanksgiving. This year, it’s been going on for 2 weeks already.

And it’s always the silly songs they play. There are alot of great Christmas songs out there that aren’t silly but can they choose them? NEVER.

I admit to being a bit of a Scrooge around Christmas normally because I hate how commercial it has become and I hate seeing the stores trying to increase everyones spending by starting in October with all the Christmas stuff. But every time I get in my car, there is a Christmas song on the radio. These past few weeks have been somewhat emotional for me.My son left for boot camp last week and this will be the first holiday that only one of my 3 children will be with us for the holidays... so I haven’t quite been in the mood for the music this early.

I immediately switch to another channel and often wonder how many other people do the same. Can’t be good for the radio station if nobody is listening to them for 6 weeks at a time. Sources: P.S. Old love your avatar!

I realized a few years ago that I was wasting my money even buying the really good stuff that comes in jars, becuase I'm just trying to overpower their seasonings with my own. Now I buy the fairly inexpensive sauce that comes in cans, mainly Hunt's, and use it as a sauce base, seasoning it myself.

Spaghetti sauce, for me, involves lots of meat. When I'm making a big meal for four people, I use two cans of sauce and two pounds of browned lean ground chuck or, if I'm feeling like a Rockefeller that week, Maverick Ranch extra-lean ground beef. I have also used ground bison, which is leaner than all of the above.

To the sauce I always add garlic, oregano, dried onion, a touch of apple cider vinegar, black pepper, salt, and a dash of Texas Pete if we want it spicy. Then it just needs to simmer for a few minutes so the flavors marry properly. Good stuff!

My fiancee' and her teenage son had always used sauce from a jar and I'm not sure if they added their own spices or not, but they both seem to appreciate my do-it-yourself sauce. See all 5 answers... Do you think it's unfair that Oldppie has the question of the week in the Askville Gazette when he isn't on their.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
