When should I visit Portland to get the most days of sunshine?

The best time to visit Portland Oregon is probably during the summer months, they are July, August and September. The rest of the year any visitor should expect rain. The local visitor's bureau will tell that it rains about 36 inches a year in Portland, interestingly enough the numbers is less than in Houston or Seattle, but the statistics may fool a tourist.
