Constantly Like with any new software platform from computer operating systems to video game systems, a lot of development goes into software that will make full use of the new resources and tools available. Developers get packages months in advance to let them work with the new system before the consumer even has access to it, but software development and testing takes time, especially with something as important as an operating system. Every day more and more software packages come online that supports Vista, but it can be difficult for companies other than Microsoft (who has a vested interest in it!) to spend resources making software for a new operating system that may or may not take off, especially when there is a huge install base (number of people with) for Windows XP still that they can count on.

When Vista become leading operating system. Software developers doesn't like to change operating system (OS) they are making software for. Adapting/porting a piece of software for new OS is not always a trivial job.

Currently more computers run Win XP than Vista. If there is no high demand for software that runs on new OS, software developers will not rush the production of such software or it could lead to a loss of profit. Transition is always slow.It happened with Win XP too.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
