I'm looking for a lumber dealer that sells good hardwood suitable for making fine furniture. Ideally I'd like a good selection of the basics (cherry, soft and hard maple, white and red oak, walnut, cedar, etc) as well as a good range of exotics (the last project I worked on was a dovetailed box in guatambu). I know there are some fantastic woodworkers up here in the Northwest, but I haven't been able to locate a good source of wood.

A good place to check out is... ...Edensaw Woods Neighborhood: SODO3223 3rd Ave S Seattle, WA 98134 (206) 204-2200 This what one person says about them:"If you're into woodworking and you live in the Seattle area, you need to discover Edensaw. This is by far the best source for exotic hardwoods, furniture-grade plywood and veneers, and other woodworking supplies. The people working there are all incredibly knowledgeable about the species that they offer... more than 60 in total.
Edensaw will do its best to get anything that you need... they accept custom orders even if they're rather small. They operate their own mill in Port Townsend and can easily procure nearly any wood product available on the market. "If that doesn't work out, you might also talk to Jim Newsom of Urban Hardwoods.
They gather wood from trees in the city and turn it into lumber and fine furniture, but I have found in my neck of the woods that sometimes such companies have bits and pieces left over from bigger jobs. Our local guys will sell the extras sometimes. Urban Hardwoods offerings would be limited to hardwoods found in Seattle yards.
The phone. Number for Urban Hardwoods is 206-766-8199 Sources: http://www.yelp.com/biz/edensaw-woods-seattle .

Where can I get quality Campaign furniture.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
