There are many books which have Accelerated Reader tests but the important thing to you will be which ones his school has. The school buys certain tests for books so you will have to find out from the librarian which ones they have. At my daughter's school they had a color coded bar on the spine of the AR books. It told them which level the book was and that the school had a test for it.
That was great for her to know which ones to get but didn't help me when I was out at the thrift stores looking for books to buy. When I visited the librarian, she showed me where on the school's website to find the list of tests they had. I used that list to copy into an Excel data base which I could sort by book level to find ones applicable to my child.
I think lined those up by author and made myself a list I could carry in my purse when shopping. I hope your school has an on line list of available tests also.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
