I think that it was discontinued a couple of years ago due to unreasonable complaints from parents regarding a pregnant doll, but I think it's a great idea and helps to explain things to little ones when Mommy's expecting #2. From Amazon's reviews, it appears that there were many parents who were indeed happy with the product. I haven't been able to find anything else like it on the market.
Would appreciate any suggestions if you know of anything. What do I consider a reasonable price? Maybe under $20-$30 for a doll?

Check out Ebay. search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R... When I checked there were 13 of them, various prices and auction deals. Some new, some not.
I saw one for $18.99. I’m not sure what the shipping was, but they certainly had some to choose from. If you haven’t bought anything on Ebay, don’t worry.
Just make sure the seller’s statistics are good and read their reviews. I have bought (and sold) a bunch of things and have only had one problem with a purchase (wasn’t as advertised). Good luck!
Does this mean that congratulations are in order? (sorry if I am being nosy...) Sources: me, Ebay .
Amazon sells the Midge doll... amazon.com/Barbies-Friend-Midge-Pregnant... Also on eBay: search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R... Looks like they're more reasonable on eBay. Sources: web surfing .
2 LonePalm, because her friend is pregnant.
3 Yeah, for once, the pregnant girl is chosen over the original! .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
