One of the coolest sources I've found to date is at publicdomainpictures.net. There are a few caveats.
1. I've often been unable to simply type that URL into the address bar and "make it happen". Don't know why.
But by Googling the address, and then clicking on one of the links that pop up, it works.
2. The selection is somewhat limited...but there are still quite a few categories where I've been able to locate something that would work.
3. You do need to be aware of each page as you browse the site. The free pics are shown first, high on the page, and then the stock photos with model releases and prices are listed farther down.
In most cases, it's at least worth a quick look to see if they have something that fits your need.
Try searching for Royalty Free pictures, photos, and clipart. You could also use photos that are now part of the "public domain". Be sure to give the website credit in the url or name section of the photo capsule.
Of course the best pictures are usually those that you take yourself!
In addition to the answers already given, you can also take Creative Commons images from flickr.com and commons.wikimedia.org. There are several Creative Commons licenses which is basically a way of licensing content so it can be used by others.
You can cut any picture of the web and get it for free even if it's protected nowadays. If you have a PC, use the Snipping Tool and just highlight and box the picture that you want and then save it onto your computer. If you have a Mac, use the Grab Tool and just grab the photo and drag it onto your desktop or outline it with the cut tool and then save it.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
