Mom is looking to update her look a little. She's in her early 60s & her hair is fairly short. She also uses a lot of hairspray & would prefer not to.
We're looking for potential styles (to print & bring to the salon), but are having a tough time finding pictures of more mature, sophisticated styles. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

I first went to Google and searched for "Short hair older women". I received several decent looking hits, so you can try that. Some link following led me to a few sites that might fit the bill perfectly though.
short-hair-style.com/short-hair-for-matu... is a great little article that has links to a decision tree/online consultation (hairstyles.virtual-hairstyles.com/consul...) and to hairstylesadvisor.com/shorthairstyles.htm which appears to allow you to use your own (or your mom’s) picture and overlay the hairstyles for a truer look and fit. I didn’t research them too much, so I can’t confirm if registration is required or not, but they look like pretty racy sites. Beyond that, I’d recommend visiting a good stylist and asking them for resources to find the perfect style.
Any stylist worth their weight should be able to help you out. If they can’t point you in the right direction, at least they’ll help you by providing another name to cross off your list of potential stylists!.
Magazines and HairStyle sources There a several magazines devoted to hairstyles. I would suggest you go to a Borders or Barnes & Noble and check the magazines they have; the quality of a picture from a magazine would probably be best. The last time I felt like doing something differnt with my hairstyle I went to Borders and picked a magazine the had a few styles that I liked.
If you would prefer to view styles online take a look at the following - hairstyles.hairboutique.com/ hairstyle.com/ hairstylesdesign.com/ 2hairstyles.com/ You can find more by just going to Google and entering a search for Hairstyles. Also try Google Images and enter Short Hairstyles. Any salon I have ever been to has style books/publications, so another idea would be to see if your salon might loan you their books.
If they prefer not to they should let you and your mother come in and look through them. In the end, the most important thing is to find a really good stylist who listens to what your mother wants. Good luck!.
Go to hairboutique. Com and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Hairstyles have little to do with age.As long as your mom chooses a classic style, it doesn't matter how old she is.
Classic hairstyles, like the bob, are ageless. Of course, she wouldn't choose a jagged rocker cut, because that is not a classic. The website will convince her!
Good luck.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
