Wow – lots of different questions here. Let me try to cover them all. In my experience, I have found that the best way to get deals on car rentals isn’t using coupons, but using websites like Hotwire.Com or Priceline.com.
Any of the coupons I have gotten seem to be for a discount of the “standard Rate the rental company charges. These rates are incredibly high, so even at 30% off, then often aren’t as good of a deal as online sites.
Discounts on car rentals through these companies can be significant and get you a reasonable car for less than $15-$20 per day. I have used both services over the last year and found both to be great. Hotwire allows you to see the pricing you are getting but not the specific car rental company.
When I use Priceline, I use the “Name Your Own Price Feature and generally find that I can save 50-60% easily. I usually use Hotwire pricing as a guideline and try for something lower.
Most online travel sites will offer you some tool to compare rates from different car rental agencies. These can be helpful guidelines, but I find that there is very little difference between companies, so brand preference doesn’t matter much to me with rental cars. In terms of car size – the rental car companies often don’t differ pricing much between the compact, mid-size and full-size rentals.
If space is a factor for your trip you can usually get a full size for only a few dollars more per day than a compact. That said, if you are the only one traveling, you can save a couple bucks by going with a compact car. In terms of number of days – my only advice would be that once you get to 5 days you should consider a weekly rental.
Often weekly rentals cost about the same as 4 or 5 days, so you might find some savings if you book a week even if you only use it for 5 days.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
