There is much debate (certainly within Chicagoland anyway) about which company makes the best Chicago style deep dish pizza in the area. While most reports seem to point to the fact that Pizzeria Uno was the place where Chicago style pizza was invented, there are hundreds of great places to get pizza out there today. Personally, I don’t think you can go too wrong with deep dish especially at the popular spots, but I do have my favorites.
If I had to rank the deep dish pizzas in Chicago, I would rank them as follows: 1. Lou Malnati’s 2. Giordanos 3.
Gino’s East 4. Pizzeria Uno 5. Anywhere else If you visit Chicago, getting deep dish pizza is definitely something you should do.
There are great spots all over the city and it is certainly something to enjoy while there.
Lou Malnoti worked as a deep dish pizza chef when it was first created in Chicago. He opened his first restaurant in the 1970's, and it has been revered as one of the best ever since. You can find more information on the different locations at www.loumalnotis.com.
Gino's has been open since the 1960's, and it now has 13 locations across Chicagoland. They are famous for their sweet marinara sauce. Pizzas can be ordered on line as well as in their restaurants.
Their web address is ginoseast.com. Giordano's is probably the most recognizable name outside of Chicago. This is due to the fact that they have opened locations all over Florida as well as Chicago.
Giordano's does still remain true to the Chicago style despite being more nationally known. You can find location information on their website at girodanos.com. Pizza Uno is the first deep dish pizza restaurant to open in the City of Chicago, first opened in 1943.
They now have locations across the country from coast to coast. People still travel to Chicago to eat at the original. Lines are usually very long to get into the first location, but it is well worth the wait.
The web address for Pizza Uno is www.unos.com. Rosati's may be a little less known, but it is still great-tasting Chicago Style Pizza. Rosati's actually opened in the 1920's, about 20 years before the deep dish pizza was born.
They caught on to the popular dish, and have been making it since its birth. With locations now in the southwest of the country as well as Illinois, more people can enjoy their tasty pizzas. Their web address is rosatispizza.com.
These five are the granddaddies of deep dish in Chicago. Almost every pizzeria in the city offers its own version, and they are worth a try as well. When Chicagoans debate the best or which came first, these are the names that come up every time.
Now you can choose your favorite!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
