Where can I make a donation charity wise with my left over balance on my prepaid gift card?

I am looking for any charity really. I have a few prepaid cards with a little leftover balance on it and seeing as every little bit helps. I would like to give it to a charity but was wondering if anyone knew ones who DON'T do Pre-authorization charges.

I don't really know about the logistics but... if you find a way I like the Salvation Army. Addmittedly, it is a religious (christian) organization but they do good work that is directly applied to those less fortunate than most of us. The will make the recipiant listen to some chrisatian mantra before feeding but then...they actually deliver directly applied attention to the needs of the individual.

Food and ckothes and these two things make the difference thousands of times a day, They do not have a massive..."cost of operation" found in almost all so-called charities. At one point the US Red Cross was caught with something like an 86% cost of operation, Check the figures. The "Commanding General" used to live near London and takes what can be called a modest remuneration very much unlike almost all of the others.So, as an atheist, I find myself supporting a religious organization and justafiably so since I appreciate the direct application of their efforts.

The actually help people. Need a meal or a coat, when it freezing? Salvation Army will get em for Ya!

I also believe I can make a case that the so-called "successful" among us are that mostly because of luck and good fortune and allow themselves to look down on our less fortunate fellow travelers on planet earth, simply because Ego plus ignorance allows the indulgence. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
