You can't. It's an endangered species so it's illegal to own one. No city code will allow one to be kept on a residential property under exotic animals laws.
That being said, it has the most toxic and dangerous bite in the world. People die within a few days of being bitten. And they're aggresive and unpredictable.An iguana would be a better pet if you are disposed to keeping reptiles.
Not everyone can. An old supervisor of mine's son had one that grew to 4 feet in length- impressive and terrifying to watch it move and eat. The idea of keeping a wild animal as a pet isn't a new one.
But not everyone has the experience of dealing with them, or has a clue of what they're getting themselves into. Leave wild animals wild- get a domestic one, as far as a domestic reptile goes, that is.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
