Where can I take a cooking class that teaches you to make good sauces in the San Francisco Bay Area. Must keep the cost down?

Any local health food store would be a good place to start. I know Whole Foods always offers monthly classes. Also check out the library bulletin board, or any other community boards in your area.

Additionally, check out the local community college. I spent a lot of time playing around in the kitchen and sometimes exploration and teaching yourself can be the best way. Fun, and educational.

Best of luck!

You could easily make friends at an event like this. You could also meet someone if you were single and looking for that from the crowd I saw too. It's not singles "scene" per se.

It's just a very relaxed atmosphere with a crowd that's there to have fun and learn a tip or two about cooking...oh and drink good wine! The FoodThis was the best part for me. It wasn't the menu.

The food she made was really good. It was all the recommendations about where to go in the city for fresh produce, for fresh fish, good meat, etc. -- place I had never heard of! This alone was worth the price of admission for me.

Her PlaceEmily does all this from her loft condo not far from the ballpark.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
