Rental history means you had a tenancy and paid your rent and built a history. Right now you have a rental history but it's a bad one. Do you have a lease?
Did you notify LL of sewage and request they remedy problem? Did you make written request when they didn't get to it? A LL has a reasonable time to make repairs, but raw sewage is a health issue and they should have been there in 24-48 hours after your report.
Even with the sewage problem, you need to give appropriate notice to LL before moving out. If you're a month to month tenant, then you must give 30 days advance written notice, any notice in Jan means you move out at end of February. If you have a written lease, then you are bound for the term of the lease.
READ your lease if there's a written one. Check out your state LL/tenant law. Your rights vary.
The time to check out condition of a place is BEFORE renting it, before moving in, and any problems should be promptly noted and requests for repairs made. However a LL does NOT have to fix everything a tenant wishes fixed, which is why you check out condition and needed repairs BEFORE signing lease, before moving in.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
