Hmmmm I had to think about this one. There would be no safe place really. Large cities would be targeted first and the influx of people relocating to the midwest would certainly cause chaos.
Please keep in mind that while I am a patriotic American and I love my country.....the best place to be if America was attacked? CANADA!
Safety is an illusion. Even though we're safe from the terrorist, we can die by other means, such as accidents, crimes, sickness, or natural disasters. Even in the "safest" countries or place, suddenly a violence or riots or terrorist attack can occur and we can do nothing about it.
I’m not an American, but my country often gets hit by terrorist attacks. I know how it feels to have your illusion of safety shattered and you suddenly have to live in fear. When I was young up until I was 13, there was no incident of terrorist attack, riots, or excessive crimes.
Soeharto was a tyrant, but he kept the peace for us. Then the first economic global crisis hit. There was a terrible riot in my country.
The Chinese were robbed and their property destroyed. Chinese women were raped and some were murdered. After that, there were several terrorist attacks.
We lived in constant fear for some years. I went to a campus and encountered demonstrations every day that could erupt into a riot anytime (and it did, although I had been home when it happened). Shopping malls, offices, and other buildings start doing security check for everyone who wants to enter the premise. It is still a widely spread practice now.
As the time goes, we become somewhat numb, we die when we die, we can’t predict everything and we certainly don’t need to stop living. We do precaution yes, but we mostly choose to let ourselves to live our lives and set aside our fear.
The lower population areas are less likely to be attacked in my mind. Yes, no one place is 100% safe, but we're already dealing with that reality anyway. That being said (and as a Canadian myself), the best answer goes to ritrzblok: CANADA!
Very far underground like the people who bought the old missle silos the Government sold and converted them to residences.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
