Where do you like to vacation, the mountains or the beach?

I prefer the beach. There are always more activities I can do there.

Definitely the beach, being close to the sea and feeling that breeze rejuvenates me.

Each has it own beauty, but the vastness and the serenity of the sea beckons me to the beach!

I guess the decision would ultimately depend upon a persons specific interests or hobbies - A skiing buff would presumably enjoy an adventurous trip to snow capped peaks in the state of choice to race through more than a few invigorating "Runs" , and a "Surfer/Sun Worshiper" would probably feel much more comfortable lying on a soft bed of finely granulated sand with entire body drenched in tanning lotion absorbing the warm relaxing rays - Here in So Cal, more specifically the "OC", we are very fortunate to have the best of virtually all worlds - A natural product of "Geographic Perfect Placement" - Orange County land settled out just close enough to the equator, yet far enough to filter out a significant portion of harmful side effects while allowing sun seekers to receive all the natural warmth and therapeutic benefits - We still however use a moderate body Darkening & Protection solution - In this West Coast location, the Mountains & Pacific Ocean are separated by a relatively short driving distance so literally, you can "Hang 10" on a surf board at the beach in mild 80 degree January weather, and then within minutes, begin a crisp cool snowboard slide from atop the mountain of choice, all in the very same day - My personal preference is without a doubt, the surfing scene.

Mountain man here. I absolutely love mountain scenery. I got the awesome opportunity to open my door each day to Mt.

Fuji when I lived in Japan. I need to see more!

Hands down the beach. Nothing like having the sand below your feet.

Definitely The beaches. Nothing is beautiful then swimming in the ocean. It's such an adventure to swim in the sea then in the pool.

There are loads of water sports to choose from. Also those who don't wanna do this can sun soak themselves.

I would always pick the Beach! Love the sunshine, sandy beach, and waves!

At this point in time it would be the beach. A nice warm beach with soft sand.

Definitely the beach! I can soak in some sun, relax, get my vitamin D or E (can't remember which one it is) and just walk on the beach is really relaxing for me.

I love the beach as you can see by some of my hubs, was married on one, snorkled with a turtle etc however the mountains have a special beauty as well, After a few months in Kununurra for the WET season I will look forward to seeing a beach again.

I live in the Tampa Bay area so I'd say the mountains for sure! They are beautiful!

My home town is in mountains area so I would like to spend holidays on beaches.

Both! :) If I would be with kids or people who just want to chill out, then I would definitely go to the beach. There, we can swim, dive, snorkel, play, or eat out at restaurants along the coast.

If I would be with people who are physically active, then I would like to try mountain climbing. The view from the top of a mountain is usually something else. Plus, the climb is an experience in itself.

Personally, I can not see the difference between, " the beach", and the lakeside, or the river's edge.........Give me the mountains! There will be an unpolluted spring of clear water. I do not want to see the " vastness" of anything in a single glance.........I want to discover the hidden treasures and tidbits.........Mountain girl here!

My husband and I went house hunting in Santa Fe, NM a few years ago just to see what was available. I will never forget the little house with the mountain view that was visible through the picture windows the minute we walked into the house. Best part - the same view from the master bedroom so you could wake up to that beautiful landscape.

Maybe, when we're finally ready to retire, the house will be available again...

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
