Where is belly dancing most practiced today?

Actually I suspect it's in America! Belly dancing is still danced in the Middle East, where it originated, but it's not regarded as "respectable" - whereas in the US, it's seen as an empowering exercise for women. I am not sure about it but shakira is practicing it and she is from latin america and may be its practiced in arabia.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
