Where is Hyderabad?

Hyderabad is at "the crossroads of Northern and Southern India" because that means it's not in the south, but rather more centrally located. I think, therefore, that the issue is that the article is not written to the appropriate level for a general reader who doesn't know about the topic, and in fact, there are informational issues outside the scope of a simple copyedit.It's not a matter of language at all; any of us should be able to do an appropriately professional writeup, but it's going to take an India expert to figure out what is right and what is not before it goes for copyedit for clarity.
