Because they have been sold a bill of goods about how anyone can become rich and benefit from those cuts. You, of course are correct, if cutting taxes on the wealthy worked so well we wouldn't be where we are now, we were fine under Clinton, and taxes were higher then than they are now, or would be when these cuts expire. I've also noticed that people don't understand that those are personal tax breaks, not business breaks.

That mean those extra dollars go to wealthy personal pocketbooks, not their corporations. Corporate spending comes not from the rich, but from banks. Making more money in the hands of private people doesn't necessarily translate into them spending their money on businesses that hire here.

It can also be paying for foreign cars, jewels, trips and villas in Spain, that money may never be spent or even seen in this country.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
