The alternator must be removed either through the bottom of the vehicle, or threw the passanger side wheel well opening. Raise and support the vehicle. Disconnect the battery.
Remove the serpentine belt by removing tention, and sliding it off. Under the car, disconnect the power wire using a 10MM socket. Use a small screw driver and pry upwards on the electrical connector to remove quickly.
Remove both the Lower and Upper mounting bolts. In some cases, the upper bolt can be more easily accessed from under the hood. Once the mounting bolts are moved, some prying, or wiggleing of the alternator may be necessary to free it from the bracket.
Installation is just opposite. Should take a novice around 30-45 minuites to complete the job.
