Com there are only two campgrounds near Salinas; The Laguna Seca Recreation Area at 1025 Monterey-Salinas Salinas, CA 93908 and the Salinas/Monterey KOA at 8710 Prunedale North Road, Salinas, CA 93907. LAGUNA SECA Chaparral and Can-Am Circle Campground is operated by the Monterey County parks Department.
RV hookup sites are $35 per night. The campground takes reservations one week in advance ($5 reservation fee per site). Tel: (888) 588-2267.
The campground includes sites with water and electric hookups. Site includes picnic table and fire pit. Campground also provides an RV dump station, restrooms and hot showers.
It’s a nice campground that overlooks the raceway.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
