Where is the oil filter located on a 1995 GMC Jimmy 4WD?

Assuming it is remote....from the engine it is roughly inside the splash panel for the radiator. LH side. Most have an Access door that has a screw holding the door closed ( Yes, I have a 95.It's under the splash panel for the radiator.

Be careful when you turn the filter off. The unit it's attached to is held on by a few bolts.It's cast iron and can break( or has already broken at the bolts. Mine was broke when I got the truck.

You can buy a new unit, or use the really big zip ties to hold it in place. Which is what I did. ) If not remote..... it is in the LH rear corner of the engine.

Goto the front driveshaft's front ujoint. Straight up from there. Stan.
