The battle of Antietam was the single bloodiest day in American history with 23,000 casualties. It was fought near Antietam creek and Sharpsburg, Maryland (in fact the conflict is known as the Battle of Sharpsburg in the south) at 39.4732°N 77.7447°W. The battle was the culmination of General Lee's first invasion of the north.
Of course it took place along Antietam creek; but,it's hard to find a creek on a map. The nearest town was Sharpsburg, Maryland. The town still exists, it is a small one.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
