It is not the bank, it is your banker who will make al the difference. I worked in commercial banking for a few years before going out on my own, and from that experience and from owning my own business, I have to say that more than the bank, it is your banker who will make a bigger difference and have more of an impact on your and your business. Would you want a doctor with little or no experience to do an operation on you?
If not then you want to think the same way about handing your hard earned sales over to an in-experienced banker. You should establish some priorities. Nearly 100% of the bnaks have interner banking, night deposits, and the other services necessary to do business, so they really aren't much of a decision maker (or breaker).
Then call the banks and go in for a talk. Consider it an interview and go about it the same way you would with a new hire. After all, your banker will be working for you.
If you look hard enough you will find a banker who 'just clicks' with your personality and business. That will make your banking relationship much more profitable and fulfilling. To be honest, it really depends what region you live in. It really does depend what area you are in, since most of the banks that are best for small business are regional-based banks. That is to say that the big chains that have banks nationwide usually are not as small-business friendly.
With this in mind, I can really only give you good advice for the region I have my small business in. I live in the midwest, and strongly believe that Commerce Bank has the best set-up accounts for small business owners. They only have branches in Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma, though, so this will only help you if you happen to be from one of those 4 states.
If you are, I would go Commerce. If not, the best advice I can give you at this point is to research local regional banks in your area, because they will almost always give you better accounts than the big national chains. Hope this helps and best of wishes!

Local bank No specific recommendation, without knowing your location. Go for a local bank, with real live people close to your business. Try asking other businesses near you what bank they use.

A BIG bank. I have some experience with this, as I own three small businesses. I started with a small community bank, but when I wanted to grow, they were too timid to take a chance on most small businesses.
After trying about 6 other small banks, I finally went to Bank of America who was more than happy to help me with my entire business and even gave me the services for free for two years. The small banks are a joke, don't bother. If you want to grow, then choose a big bank and develop a relationship with someone there.
