First some words about my answer, I am not a elite answerer of this question because of my less english skill. Anyway, this question is interesting to me to tell my greatest success in in life ever though I am still now a little boy. I will not use a lot of sentences to describe my answer because then you will find my answer as a complex and hard to understand.

But here is all the answer of your questions. If anything is unclear please tell me in comment box of the bottom of this answer. Thanks ...............................quote........................ "What is the difference between a dream and a vision?

The dreams you see while asleep at night are a metaphor for the kind of thinking that happens when you fantasize while awake. We often call this "Day dreaming" or creative imagination. The vision you see when you are awake and looking at reality with your eyes is a metaphor for the kind of thinking that happens when you look to your future with your mind's eye.

With this kind of vision, you can "Look" down different paths, and "See" what would happen. This paper refers to the dreams and vision you see inside your mind while awake. " "Dream makes us beleive things happening in the Virtual world.

Vision defines the goals to acheive in a more realistic way. Setting up a goal and working on the same by folding back the vision helps us achieve the goal with more clarity in our thoughts. It may or may not happen in case of dreams.

Dreams are sometimes volatile, while Vision is more or less fixed....Dream:you see the dream when you" ................................/quote............................. BUT I think in your question you not saying about the dream which we dream while asleep. You are using DREAM here as the dream we dream for out life, example: I always dream to be a 3rd degree black beltarian here. You are saying this DREAM, isn't it?

1. What was the dream or vision? =I am a student of last label of high school.

I know some of you know that I have a huge interest in technology and science. In live in the capital of our country, Bangladesh. Here every year holds a high school science fair where students participate from all over the country.

So its a really big contest to a student who loves to make some unique projects of technology. Success of a student team here also consider as honor to their school. Another interesting point is the there are many prizes among them the first prize is 150000 tk(US $2000)+A laptop+a national certificate given by the minister of science and technology , second prize U$ 1500+plus a netbook+cirtificate and the third $1000+netbook+certificate....AND a team of 10 students will visit the "Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR)" in India so its so exited matter to travel the abroad.

I participated there with a project on Radio, I made a 200-250 meters range capable shortwave radio transmitter and receiver. I took a close look at the short range wireless and shortwave radio. My teacher also helped me so much to make it he also collected some rare parts for me.

Anyway, can you say what was the result? I may say I won a place, but nope there was another some awesome project like I liked a outstanding project on light sensitivity on a LED and sound sound detector of train from 100 kilometer far, just put the sensor on the rail line etc. But the jury board consider me as the 9th place winner.

Oh it was awesome!

Less prize money, no netbook, no worry about these I just happy to handshake to Jafar Iqbal, the greatest scientist ever in Bangladesh, Dr. Muhammad Unus, winner of nobel prize in peace from Bangladesh. I also became scandal when the minister said "I wish you, go ahead son, show you spirit to the world. I want to see you as a great physics scientist in the whole world.

"

I got the chance to go first time to abroad. In india, we saw how they improving themselves day by day. 2.

Why is this dream or vision important to you? =I love technology and mostly the physics so the vision to check me in our national biggest school science competition was so important to me. I honored there, my school honored there, my parents honored there.

So now you can realize why it was so important. I told there to be a great in physics so now my aim is a technology scientist in physics. I also love this subject most, and it is the easiest subject of all.

3. Which came first, the dream or the vision? =The vision came first and dream came when I already a candidate to win a place in science fair.

4. What difference has it made in someone's life, or will it make in someone's life? =Look, they all who won the place in this fair are extra genius in technology in physics, chemistry and also biology.

So when they honored by this event then I surely can predict that maximums will involve with technology and the participating in this fair as well. And when they will inter into higher study definitely they will choose a PhD course in technology. Sure!

Specially for me. 5. What's your ultimate goal or wish to come from this dream or vision?

= I begging your pardon because I am not sure what you have asked in this question. Will you explain it? To give me opportunity to express my experience and part of life around it.

6. Did you fulfill your dream, or are you still working towards your vision? =See, my case was different first I setup a vision that I must have to do something good in the science fair.

When I was announced as a candidate of winning place then begin to dream that may I going to reach my vision. Yes, my dream is fulfilled BUT I think a achieved vision always setup another new vision so my new vision (Not just dream) is again participating in national college science fair in 2011. 7.

Has this dream gotten in the way of the vision or has the vision gotten in the way of the dream? =Definitely I reached my dream that is placing me in the winner leaderboard by the way of vision. I think you already got a clear image about it so nothing to say here about it more.

8. How do you keep the dream and vision alive to work together? =The answer of this sub question is not same what I said of above.

There I said the VISION first then start DREAMING but here I have to say dream first then start working and set my next vision. An example: See, when I was just in green belt then the black best was like a dream but when I standing on the present that going to reach purple tip then I is not a dream now to me. Now It is vision to me, and working to reach the goal.

Oh, @easyeboy I am so tried now, let me go sleep. :D Please please tell me in comment box if anything else. I have tried by best though this answer isn't free from grammatical error.

Anyway, all the best!

.

Often I find my dreams and visions merge and become one and the same. The moment in which our desires become the clearest is when we slumber to allow them uninterrupted play time. I rarely have an idea or thought I would consider a "vision" while awake, though I do sometimes elaborate on them at that time.

1. What was the dream or vision? I dreamed once of solitude without being alone.

A home of my own in the woods where I belong. Where my family belongs. A self sufficient farm enclosed from the wrongs of humanity.

A utopia of my own sorts. A place where I can finally belong, raise my children and grow old with my husband.

2.

Why is this dream or vision important to you? I don't really want t raise my kids in this modern society. I want them to know the real meaning of life and not some store bought copy to drag them throughout life.

I also loathe living in the city and have never felt I belonged here, hence the inspiration for the dream turned vision, because I will accomplish this someday even if it's in my death. 3. Which came first, the dream or the vision?

As stated the dream. Sometimes a dream is just so wonderful you can't help but wish to make it happen ad then formulate plans and further ideas creating a full fledged vision. 4.

What difference has it made in someone's life, or will it make in someone's life? Thus far it actually has created much stress for my husband and I, because he too shares my vision but we struggle with obtaining it. We're both impatient types who would probably be better placed in a world where a sword and honor could claim you all of your dreams.

The trappings of credit ratings and 9-5 jobs frustrate us both in the image of our desires. Once obtained however it will impact my entire families lives. My husband and I will finally be happy and our children will finally be safe and have an environment to be raised by the land in.

Nothing matters more to me. 5. What's your ultimate goal or wish to come from this dream or vision?

Happiness, comfort, security and eternity, the type of things trapped in dreams. c1.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/112/l_c82ce262d270451ea4489c3fe67e72c0.jpg 6. Did you fulfill your dream, or are you still working towards your vision?

I have moved closer to it. We don't live in a big city, though my husband is pushing to do so, so we can earn more money to obtain our end result. I like to think ambitiously we can achieve the vision within 10 years.

7. Has this dream gotten in the way of the vision or has the vision gotten in the way of the dream? The vision has clouded the dream, conformed it to a reality that doesn't exist in dreams.

However dreams have no place in real life, and visions do. youtube.com/watch?v=Dl1MigdvWyo 8. How do you keep the dream and vision alive to work together?

The dream keeps the vision alive and the vision keeps the dream in mind. By dreaming each night of the things we want they are dangled like a piece of meat before our drives and desires and so prompt us to keep our visions from fading or devolving into something less. However you rarely dream the same dream twice if you don't keep it there in the front of your mind, a vision for the future.

Based on personal experience, I could tell that the dream normally comes first but there are things in life that we don't dream about them and they come into our lives unexpectedly. Everything we do is being motivated by our dreams. 1.

When I was a kid, my dream was to become a soldier. 2. That dream became important to me because I just feel I can give my best to it.

I just loved it! 3. My answer is dream.

Dreams normally come first as I've said but there are things that come into our lives unexpectedly and we soon realized that we need them and we're just thankful for them. 4. When I was a kid, I had that feeling that I would like to be a heroine.

I want to protect the people from bad elements because I am armed and in authority. 5. As I grow up, that dream vanishes slowly esp.

When I got married early. 6. No, I haven't fulfilled it and I think that it's impossible now.

So my dream now is to have a stable job in order to help my husband and I have been working for it. 7. I think it's vice versa.

I see life in both ways. 8. Generally, here's what I can say as a believer in the power of thinking.

I do believe that what we think affects our actions and what we act/are is the reflection of our thoughts. As a Christian, I always pray for my dreams and visions for if without God, I am nothing.

The dream came first. Ever since I was ten, I dreamed of singing and acting on stage at the Renaissance Faire. I just wanted to be that cool, LOL!

In college, I got a vision of a show based on Oral Formulaic Theory. My friends and I made the vision a reality, so it was pretty darn important to us! The experience actually was pretty influential in my life.

Up until then, I had always been bookish and shy. This opened me up to the risk of being outgoing. I could be rejected, so I had always held back.

I would not have been able to be a teacher if I hadn't broken through this barrier in my personality. The dream and the vision were both fulfilled. I performed regularly at three California Renaissance Faires for five years (1987 - 1992).

That's me in the middle, in the photograph. We called this show "Wheel of Fairy Tales".

To me, usually dream comes first. Or rather, something happens, and I'd have a deja vu moment.. except its usually that I remember dreaming about it in the past. Except this hasn't happened much recently.

There's also been numerous dreams where I've been aware that it was dream, but at the same time, there was no possible way of telling the difference between dream and reality: every sense and everything surrounding me was extremely realistic and detailed. Lucid dream was it? Putting these two things together, it may be possible that dreams can be premonition, yet be manipulated at will.

In my experience, dreams can lead to vision, if you choose to work for them. But a dream without action to follow it up is nothing more than a flight of fantasy, despite what those who follow thesecret.tv/ might want you to believe. 1.

What was the dream or vision? As a teenager and a yound adult, I dreamed about changing the world, or at least my country. I wanted to make it an honest and fair place, where people were truly equal.

In my mind, this change came via a story I wrote, an article in some major nespaper that won me a Puliizer Prize and made the world a happier place. 2. Why is this dream or vision important to you?

When I was young, I saw people suffering. Not the great starvation of sub-Saharan Africa or the atrocities of war, but every day misery. The kind that tears at your soul and makes it hard to go on.

The kind that drives people to drink and drugs. I believed, through my religion and my personal ethics, that people could be happier if they just had the right information. 3.

Which came first, the dream or the vision? In my case, the dream was first. The vision evolved as I became more educated and more aware of the world around me.

In the end, the vision replaced the dream because the vision was a workable plan to make it happen. 4. What difference has it made in someone's life, or will it make in someone's life?

As my dream evolved into a vision, I found that changing the world begins with individuals. Each person I helped then made the world a better place for those around them. Once I saw that, I learned that a small news story in Marion, Illinois, about a mission in Malawi could help provide funding for a hospital there, for new wells and lessons in agriculture.

Unlike some political scandal that might garner world attention, a little article in my hometown newspaper meant people who were starving one night could eat. I may never meet the people that were helped via my vision, but I made the world better by having it. marionmedical.org/ 5.

What's your ultimate goal or wish to come from this dream or vision? My plan, since I believe that is the difference between a vision and a dream, is to continue to write these kidns of articles. The kind that inspire hope and promote the efforts of one person or one group to make the world a better place.

No matter what I write, I want it touch one person, to entertain them or make them think, to bring happiness to the world one person at a time. 6. Did you fulfill your dream, or are you still working towards your vision?

My dream has faded over time and given way to the vision. I no longer dream of winning prizes. I have a continuing vision for changing lives.

7. Has this dream gotten in the way of the vision or has the vision gotten in the way of the dream? The vision has surplanted the dream.

The dream was like a childhood fantasy, not based in reality and not well-considered as to its result. In truth, I think the dream would have dome little to change the world. After all, do you remember the stories that one Pulitzer prizes last year?

I don't. 8. How do you keep the dream and vision alive to work together?

Keeping the vision intact is easier than it sounds most days. It is, after all, core to what I believe about myself and my world. However, when I feel that I can't accomplish it, that I am not making a difference.

I look back to the clippings of my stories and the thank you notes I have gathered over the yearts that go with them. There is a note among them, from a group of children in Malawi, whom I will almost definitely never meet, thanking me for the story which prompted more local donations to help make their lives better. As children, they were most thankful for something almost thrown away--old soccer jerseys--discarded by a team in Illinois and reminding these children of hardship how to be children.

I’m a dreamer. There’s no day in my life where I haven’t thought about something and imagining it happening. I always imagine me doing things I’ve always wanted to do or things that could make me or the people I love happy.

Right now, I have many goals and aspirations in life. Some of them sound simple and stupid (lol) like being able to swim, or even just float on water (yes, fallen angel can’t swim, poor me, lol) and some of them seem impossible like owning a Lamborghini Gallardo or an Audi R8… I prefer Gallardo, it’s my dream car. XD Although I have tons of dreams and goals playing around my head, there are some things that I really want to pursue.

There’s one thread or question somewhere here before asking what I really want to do with my life, without really thinking, I just continued typing until I realized that I have to get really rich to do some of those… XD 1. To be a pilot. When I was young, I visualize myself up there zipping through the skies.

Each time I see an airplane, I would tell my mom how much I’d like to be a pilot one day. Every time a teacher would ask us what we want to be when we grow up, I’d say the same thing. Some of them would even wonder why a girl would want to be a pilot, but I don’t really pay attention on those.

One teacher even suggested that she could see me becoming a nurse or a teacher, you know, usual choice of a girl, but I’d still want to be a pilot. I still want to pursue that dream. Not now, but I know I will soon.

:) Don’t get surprised if you’re on a plane then you’ll hear Capt. (my name here) wishing you a safe, blissful flight! Lol 2.

Establish an animal shelter. In US, there are tons of animal shelters here and there, in our country, people don’t really pay much attention on animal welfare. I want to make a change.

Some people here (I’m not speaking of everyone) don’t treat their pets well. There are many abused pets, or animals that were just left alone to fend for themselves. If I’d build an animal shelter, I could reach out to these poor creatures.

3. Give scholarships to deserving, hardworking kids. My heart breaks each time I see a young kid working on the streets than studying at school.

Although there are already kind hearted people helping around, there are still many kids out there who want to go to school but unable to because of financial difficulties. I want to help them. I value education so much that’s why I wanted to help especially those who really desire to go to school and study hard for their own future.

4. Help elder people and give them a better life while they’re still around. Maybe I’m a pain in the neck for my grandma who lives with us, but God knows how much I care for her.

If seeing kids on the streets breaks my heart, seeing older people being abandoned by their families kills me. I know I have no rights to judge those people who left their parents or grandparents on nursing homes or to fend on their own on the streets but it’s just depressing to see them alone and sad. I want to do something for them, to at least make them happy for the remaining time they have here… Here are just some of the things I’d like to do but requires me to get rich to fulfill these well.

I can’t establish an animal shelter or give scholarship or help out elders if I don’t have much money to spend. Although I believe that money can’t buy happiness, at least money could make their lives a little better. For me to become a pilot, I need money too.

I need to take up lessons which right now I can’t do because of work that I couldn’t just leave because I need to earn for myself somehow. See? I really have to get rich soon.

Lol The following dreams I mentioned started from my vision. I saw an airplane as a kid, it makes me want to be a pilot, I saw abused unhealthy pets around, I saw poor kids around and abandoned elders, and then it made me want to reach out for them. If I could do these things someday, it will somehow make me a better and fulfilled person.

I want to please myself by being a pilot, and I want to make others happy too. Nothing could ever make me happier than that. :) I still haven’t fulfilled these things I dream about.

But I’m not giving up yet. That’s why I’m working hard now and doing Mahalo too on my free time so I could earn. Maybe I don’t have enough money right now to do much but it doesn’t mean I can’t do anything for the moment.

I can’t be a pilot yet, but I could watch airplanes pass by and still be happy… I can adopt pets or feed some of the cats outside my office’ building… I can give food or clothing to some poor kids and elders I see on the streets. Maybe this is not as much as I really want to offer, but I’m still trying to give them the best I could give. I know all things are possible if you’ll work hard for it.

I know someday, I’ll accomplish these dreams I have. No matter how much unfair and tough life becomes, I always try to be optimistic on things. Even though negative things and events happen, I keep on thinking that there’ll always be sunshine after every storm.

I have another dream I haven’t mentioned yet. It’s probably the most important dream I have. It is to have a wonderful family in the future.

I think it’s every person’s dream. I want to be the best wife and mom there is! I can’t prioritize this for now but I will someday.

:) -- It looks like I shared more than one dream I have... I hope I answered the question somehow.

It it always the vision! The dream keeps the vision alive! 1.

The vision is to become righteous! Do good, become responsible. 2.

It is very important because we're surrounded by so much of senseless people. Being sensible, being responsible alone make you stand out in a crowd. Small things matter - i.e.

Litter, loitering, in a queue, caring for old and sick are always matter because you see lots of, lots of people just don't give a damn. Just don't give a damn about anything or most of the thing. Most people look for own good nothing else.

That makes me sick - I want to be different. Being different, being right, being caring, being responsible and being sensible is to live righteous. 3.

The vision - no second thoughts. 4. There is not a shadow of a doubt - it made all the difference.

It will definitely will make all the difference. 5. Live happy and be content.

Life is short and all you can do is leave memories and legacy. Your legacy must be a one to remember and you need to have lot of people remember you as a good person who touched their lives. 6.

I am working towards fulfilling it. It happens everyday. 7.

A vision. I have lot of dreams encircling this to keep my vision alive. 8.

Everyday I try to do a simplest of the good. I try to smile at lot of people I happen to meet. I am a good listener.

Being a listener you become a shoulder to cry on and people around you start trusting you. Then I can reach out and help. A word of advice, a small kind word is all that may do per a day.

But I realize I touch someone with something good. So these small things keep my vision and dream alive. This is no big thing, but I need to do good - not to hurt, not to arise resentment, comfort other - small but touching things to keep others around me happy.

1. My dream has always been to be a teacher. Since I was a little girl, I've wanted to make a difference in the lives of people.

#2. I've always (since 15 or 16) thought about people that have headstones when you visit the graveyard of a loved one. What are they remembered for?

Does anyone on this Earth even know who they were? Did they make a difference while they were here, to anyone? I guess you could call this a vision of sorts, because I knew that I didn't want to ever die, without making an impact on someone's life, for the better.

I want people to know that I am a helper and try to make the world a better place. #3. The dream of being a teacher got lost when I married and had kids, shortly thereafter.

Once I divorced, 5 years later, it was just the kids and I. I was back to square one, with 2 mouths to feed and a dream in my heart. I always thought back to the graveyard, though.

What difference have I made? Am I going to accomplish anything in this life? I got a job.

In fact 2, and night classes. In 4 years, my dreams and visions collided with my first classroom of 12 children in the first grade of a little country school. Truth be told, I loved the kids but hated first grade.

(#7) It wasn't MY vision of the children I wanted to work with. Sure I loved the kids, but not the job. My dream had came true, but the vision was totally different.

#4. After that year, I decided to branch out to make MY vision come to pass. I applied for a job 60 miles away, yes 60.

Fifth grade in the inner city, with some rough characters. Guess what? I finally felt- Home.

Yes, I was home. It was just as I had dreamed, only better. The first couple of weeks were hard.

Those children came from a different socioeconomic status, different backgrounds, and a different color. Not everyone can work in that type of school. It takes someone cut out for the job.

It was just what I was cut out for. #6. After several weeks, the children began to allow me to be their teacher, mentor and friend.

I was hard, but in a loving way. By the end of the year, my vision and dream had merged together into something beautiful. I was THEIR teacher, and they loved me.

The parents loved me as well, which is quite strange in the inner city. Those kids would've HURT someone over their "teach. " #5.

I taught them what it means and how to get out of the circle of poverty, because I had been there myself, under different circumstances. I taught them what it means to have manners, respect and character. Much of what I taught them wasn't even in a book.

That was my first year in fifth grade. I taught for quite a few years after that, before deciding to come home to my children, which needed me at the time. I know my dream and vision made a difference, if I died today.

I still have children in the 10 and 11th grade call me to check on "teach," 60 miles away. I have no doubt that my dream and vision made a difference in hundreds of lives of children, so unlike me. #8.

I have no doubt that whatever graveyard I may be put in, there's some grown child that fulfilled my dream, on a bus out of the ghetto.

I was sitting, almost waiting for some thing to happen because the night before there was a dream. A good dream about winning and winning big. The black car pulled up with the large man inside.

This strange man was my uncle. Tall and slim but over all huge. This may sound normal to all of you but what realy gives this story a twist is that my uncle was reported dead 5 years ago.

This was an exact replica of my vision. I hope It works.

Since the age of ten, I see things before they actually happen. Sometimes I get confused on what happened first. When I was twelve, I saw my mom falling down the porch.

I told her what I saw but she didn't believe me. Twe days later, she fell. She didn't break anything but, she was shook up pretty badly.

Here is what I feel and the definitions go. Ans.1: Here is what I mean by dream and vision. Dream: It has following definitions; i.

Scientific: The images that are projected by your subconscious mind (brain) while you are asleep. These images are based on past experiences, anticipations, thoughts and imaginations. Ii.

Literary: The hope or anticipations that you cherish to accomplish in future. Vision: This too, has following definitions; i. Scientific: The ability to see things with the help of eyes.

Ii. Literary: Vision means having a clear understanding of the life, its values and of the goals that you wish to fulfill in your life. This is more practical than dream and is based on more realistic factors.

Ans.2: According to me, the importance of dream and vision are as follows; Importance of Dream to me: It is our dreams that keeps us moving with a zeal towards our goal. He will have a sort of aimless life. Importance of Vision to me: Having a vision of life is the first step taken towards realizing your dreams.

This gives a way of life and your ideals are formulated based on your visions. Ans.3. Obviously, vision came first.

The dreams cannot be based on nothing. Your dreams are based on your past experiences and your imaginations. You dream what you see or want to see.

A person who has never seen anything, cannot dream of anything because his mind will not know what to dream about. Ans.4. As I said earlier, dreams are what you aspire to accomplish or become.

So, unless you have a dream, it is hard to find a goal. Dreams have changed people dramatically and have given unimaginable twists in people's lives. It has made beggars into millionaires and vagabonds into nation's heads.

Dream is such a power. Vision, on the other hand, is not as much a driving force as dream, but it helps you walk straight towards your goal. It is the straight path on which you find your target.

It is guarded from two sides by your ideals and your values. Ans.5. I may sound a little crazy here, but the ultimate goal I want to reach is to be remembered forever by the world, or in other way, to become immortal in their hearts.

I want to be a legend like Michael Jackson, Bruce Lee, Charlie Chaplin, Elvis Priestley and likes. Ans.6. I am still working towards fulfilling my dream and to live my vision.

Ans.7. Nothing gotten in each others way. Instead, they are walking hand-in-hand, strengthening each other.

Ans.8. I dream more and more about living my vision. That's how I keep them alive to work together.

As each day goes by, my dreams become more and more powerful and the ultimate driving force that keep me going. Ans.9. Yes!

I believe in dreams and I believe everyone should cherish a dream. You are as good as dead if you have no dreams. The bigger you dream, the higher you reach.

They say it right, "Dream Big"! That is how Bill Gates was born, the Statue of Liberty of stood, the Great Pyramid of Giza is still fascinating the world, building colonies on other planets and on the moon is on its way and that is how Abe became Abraham Lincoln. That is the power of dream.

Dream big and keep dreaming. Cheers.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
