Which Christian values is the Reverend Al Sharpton personifying here?

Sharpton is part of a generation of activists for whom the title "Reverend" gets them a hearing for their comments and immunity for their actions. He's no more a cleric than Barry Lind of Americans United. They just use their titles as a political tool.

Sharpton was ordained as a 10-year old by a self-appointed "bishop" of a black pentecostal church. Never been to seminary, and I don't call working as a roadie for James Brown and Mahalia Jackson "ministry." His own biography shows he has never pastored a church anywhere.

Same as Jesse Jackson who got ordained circumventing the two year process in his own denomination right after MLKs assassination. His actions in extoritng an exclusive beer dealership for his son would have landed anyone else in prison. He also has never attended seminary and never pastored a church.

These guys are opportunists and con artists that know having the title "Reverend" insulates them in the media from being called out for what they are. More.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
