Raleigh-Durham is chained to its past. Seattle at least leans toward its future. North Carolina is a depressed blue-collar state.
Washington has a better -Tech sector than the Research Triangle. Personally, I would never live in Raleigh-Durham. I had a chance to live in Seattle, but chose Portland, Oregon, instead. It has most of the advantages of Seattle and fewer drawbacks.
No hurricanes in the Pacific Northwest. Seattle has a higher cost of living, but its economy isn't as depressed and jobs are coming in, not going out as in R-D.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
