Souvlaki and gyros are my favorite but I also do like moussaka.
Never got a chance to relish Greek cuisine. :(.
The photo above is Santorinian tomato-balls.
Ok lets go with appetizers. I will try to limit myself only with three favorites.
1. Feta in the oven with oregano, onion, green pepper and olive oil.
1. Kleftiko(lamb, veggies and cheeses in paper cooked in the oven).
2. Stifado (veal with small baby onions in red sauce).
Now comes time for the wines: Santorini island have very nice wines, from very sweet (Visanto) to very dry like Boutary or Nektery.
I've tried buying them in the frozen food section at the super market, but they just aren't as good as the fresh ones you get at the Fair.
Do I have to choose just one?! It would be easier for me to choose what I do not like - anything seafood-related (which actually happens to be a large portion of any Mediterranean diet)! But I guess if I was really pressed choose one part of Greek cuisine...today I'd go with souvlaki.
Tomorrow, could be galaktoboureko! It all depends on my mood, really! :-).
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
