The Tea Party is not anti-tax. As long as you have government you will have taxes, that is not the problem. The problem is excessive taxes and excessive spending.
That is why they are properly called the T.E.A. party, as in Taxed Enough Already. As for your faith that Freedom Democrats would be looked at just as closely as Tea party would, I think you need to actually read TIGTAs report and educate yourself. It was a naked abuse of power that was wide spread, covered multiple offices, and was approved by managers.
As for Shulman being appointed by Bush, that fact is not relevant. No more so than the fact that Miller was appointed by Obama. The fact is the IRS broke their procedures, broke the law, violated people's rights, and then lied about it.
Whatever you think of the party being targeted, the fact that our government is doing this to fellow citizens should scare the heck out of everyone.
Any time part of the Government tries to punish someone for their political beliefs its a big deal and rightly called a Scandal. Imagine if a poll was taken, and that this poll found that 75% Americans didn't think that pot should be illegal. Then the DEA started searching the houses of those 75% just because of their beliefs.
That's basically what happened. A government entity illegally targeted a group based completely on their beliefs.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
