Speaking from experience Well, stay off of the Strip. There are so many places outside the Strip that are very close by, and unbelieveably inexpensive. Mind you, I'm not saying stay in Reno.
That is a sh! Thole! I've frequented the Tropicana in Vegas and Atlantic City.
I've stayed at the Tropicana in Las Vegas, and it "wasn't that bad" as far as prices. The MGM Grand is right there. ALL of the great casinos are right there.
If price is a huge factor, you have to stay off of the Strip. It's that simple. All of the smaller casinos were systematically blown up to make room for better ones.
I hate to say this in an "answer", but an experienced travel agent can really be an asset to you. Oh, food is cheap as sin out there. Food will never be a major factor in what you spend in Vegas.
Granted, it was a "few" years ago, but there were prime ribe dinners for 4.99 while I was out there. Sources: Been there. Done it....
Circus Circus I think Circus Circus in both Reno and Las Vegas is the best value. You can get rooms for as low as $25 if you go on a weekday. All the rooms in Vegas go up greatly on weekends.
But if you get out of town and go see the Grand Canyon, Bryce, or Zion National Parks, you can have a nice weekend up in the mountains and then come back to Vegas on Monday and continue on with your Vegas vacation.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
