It pauses at a photo of him, etc. Or... It pauses at a photo of himself, etc.Asked by gramma_onthefarm 7 months ago Similar questions: correct pauses photo Computers > Software.
You only append the 'self' suffix when the subject is the same person or entity as the object. "I cooked dinner for him" vs "I cooked dinner for myself""They watched a home video about her" vs "They watched a home video about themselves" .
OK, so my understanding is that if the man was looking at the photo I would use "himself", but since someone else is looking, it is "him. " I thank you very much for such a quick response. Gramma_onthefarm 7 months ago .
HE pauses at a photo of himself. The "self" suffix is a reflexive that refers back to the subject, so one only uses it when the object is the same as the subject. In your sentence, "It" is the subject and "himself" can never refer back to "it." .

I don't know if you can see the answers I received above - I did get some very helpful answers. Since the "It" is looking at the photo of "him", the answer is "him". If "he" was looking at his own photo, it would be "himself."
Thanks for any help. If you have any other ideas, I would appreciate hearing them. Gramma_onthefarm 7 months ago .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
