Colloquy is the best I've encountered so far. It's got a good, clean interface, it's completely free (as in price and as in open source) and has no limits on usage.
There are many available but I think Ircle and MacBitchX are two most popular ones. Akash...
I have only ever used Babbel on the Mac. Having had success while using this program I have never felt the need to try any others.
I strongly recommend xchat Aqua. While it hasn't been updated in a while, it's rock-solid and being that xchat is the de facto standard for IRC clients that actually work properly, I'd use xchat Aqua (there's a regular xchat build for OS X, but it requires you to run it in X11 -- xchat Aqua runs natively and looks GORGEOUS). All scripting works perfectly... I've been using it for more than two years.
I hate installing more applications on my computer than necessary. For IRC on my Mac I use the FireFox AddOn known as ChatZilla https://addons.mozilla. Org/en-US/firefox/addon/16 It works really well and of course, the cool thing about ChatZilla is that it can also be installed on Windows or Linux!
Cross Platform!
I recommend Linkinus. It's shareware for 12.5 Euros. It has a very good user interface, including custom styles. In my opinion, the selling point is that there's the option for when you quit the app to keep a background process connected, so that you're always connected, even when the frontend is closed.
The two most useful ones are Colloquy (colloquy. Info) and Xchat Aqua. Colloquy is more Mac-like and has a rabid following.
The developers run a chatroom in Freenode and are always happy to talk to end users. Plus it's free. Xchat Aqua is a stale port of the popular Xchat IRC client from Linux and Windows. It is updated rarely, is ugly but the damn thing works.
I have tried many others over the past 6 years, and the only ones that never disappoint are Colloquy and Xchat Aqua.
I use ircle: ircle.com/ works great :).
I'm going to have to go with Mibbit on this one. It's the best Ajax/Ruby Rails based web IRC app since sliced bread. NOTE: Give the video's audio about 10 seconds to load.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
