Thank you all for answering the question. I love the Knight but it seems that nobody likes the poor old Rook or Bishop.
I like the pawn. Though little, his potential is enormous.
The knight... because it can still check even if there is a pawn or piece between it and the king!
I agree, the Knight was always my favorite because of its interesting way of moving on the board and because I love the shape of a horse head piece. Even the one in the picture above is so dynamic..it just commands attention.
The Queen . . .
That lady has a lot of power!
I have to go with the Knight as well. The strategy of using a knight is much less obvious than using pieces that move only in straight lines. It takes a lot of additional thought to consider just where that knight is going or what his intentions might be.
I like the king. He does virtually nothing. Everyone else fights for his protection and survival!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
