I think the "islamic jv team" barely existed before dubya decided to deal with them, compared to what they are today. He turned them into the global nemesis they are now. Primarily by overthrowing saddam hussein, leaving iraq a vast anarchic quagmire full of terrorist cells, often manned by supporters of the previous regime, or their enemies.
I guess you could call what he did after his invasion "controlling the terrorists," if by control you mean spending endless hundreds of billions of dollars on bribes, weapons, murders and so on, not to mention killing thousands of innocent civilians over there as collateral damage. Was that a great solution? Not as far as I can tell.
What kind of solution is it when you have to continuously spend huge amounts of money to suppress a situation like that, knowing perfectly well that the instant the bribes and weapons stop flowing, the whole thing's going to fall right apart again. I think that's the kind of solution you come up with when what you're really after is absolutely any excuse you can come up with to give huge wads of government cash to some special pals you have in the defense industries. Though I'm sure dubya had all kinds of great rationalizations to protect himself from realizing this about his own motivations.
I think that was about his speed.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
