Which scientists are skeptical of global warming and have not received funding from big oil.?

My husband works as a "drone" for a refinery. Let me put this into perspective for you from a "drones" point of view. First of all, it is true that the earth only holds so much oil and or any other type of fossilized feul.

As far as OIL goes we are at what is called "PEAK". What this means is that we HAVE AT THIS POINT IN 2010 used up at least 1/2 if not slightly more of all known Oil deposits. This is fact.

Now there is a possibility that somehow, someway, we might find another "Mother Load" but those chance are very, very slim. Now what "Peak" actually means is that after this it is all downhill. Estimations by OIL Companies and geologist's state that we will run out of OIL completely by 2050.

Now for us that doesn't seem so bad right? Unless you are a newborn or a teenager, who cares. Somebody will think of something, right?

Well here is the bad news, The Oil companies and the Geologist's and the Doomsdayer scientist's are more in cahoot's(agreement) they we would tend to believe. With population growth and human greed let's put that timetable back say... about 20 yrs. Still not so bad, you say?

By 2030 we still should be able to come up with something. Well let's think here, put on your braincap. My husband works for an Oil Refinery remember.

The E-85( ethanol made from corn) that everybody thinks is such a savior is a total "CROCK" it actually takes more Gasoline to produce E-85 than it does to just make the gas. Little known fact that the Green Scientist's would rather you not check up on. And Monsanto has all the right's to future corn production( gonna get really rich) can you say Monopoly!

They even have the 1st Patent on a living organism.. Corn. Think of all the thing's now made from corn! My husband was told just of last week that Gasoline production was going to be phased out,( not immeadiate but soon) instead they are going to be focusing all their efforts on making Deisel Feul and Hydrogen.

His plant just built a new Hydrogen compound. Of course it takes Oil to make Deisel, but it is more efficiant. A gallon of Deisel goes twice as far and or more depending upon the efficancy of the motor.

Hydrogen on the other hand is a volitile feul. You think gasoline goes BOOM, wait till you see a Hydrogen explosion! But these are the best options available at this date and time.

Now, there are many many Scientist's who have gone against the grain. They were once well respected among their "GO GREEN COLLEAGUE"S". These men and woman once at the top of the game have since denied the "GLOBAL WARMING" "CARBON FOOTPRINT" Retoric.

You won't hear or see much about them anymore since it is not the "IN" way of thinking. They have been shunned for thinking "Outside The Box". The facts to them and many of us in the energy, fossil feul and environmental buisness are clear.

Yes, we are running out of Oil. The more people in the future and the more demand, the more the price must rise. Mother earth herself continues to change.

Our so called Carbon Footprint has only about 3% to actually do with it. She is a fickle woman who has the right to change her mind at a moments notice! Yes, we add to it, but NO we don't decide it as we would like to think.

WE are NOT special! The last Mini Ice age was during the Revolutionary War the one before that was during the Mideaval Times just before the so called Renesiance( basically things warmed up and it was SPRING!) These chapters in our Earths History has very little to do with us. Granted we did not use Oil, BUT... WHOA baby!

Every human was burning something to stay warm, be it coal, wood or animal feces. And the skies were BLACK in populated area's. The waters were so contaminated you could not drink or bathe from them.

God bless the men who invented Beer and Wine! People stank to high heaven because they feared bathing. There were no environmentl regulations, people did as they damn well pleased.

When it came down to living or dying, burn.. eat.. use.. kill and destroy whatever is necessary..you have a family to think about. Do you really think. Seriously, do you really think we have changed that much?

Other than placing regulations on pollution output and trying to help save the "whales"( endangered species). When it comes down to "Brass Tack's" . We, and I mean each and every individual will do whatever it takes to survive and ensure the survival of our offspring!

The only foe we are never going to beat is Mother Nature. In the end... She decides all! .

Well, most of the original research pushing global warming came from the U.N. As the movement picked up speed there were thousands of scientists that petitioned AGAINST the idea that carbon causes global warming. Today there are tens of thousands of scientists, many brilliant in their own right, who are still opposed to it. But, European govts.

And the U.S. govt. Jumped on board with the theory. Since the govt.

Issues many of the grants for scientific research, scientists that didn't jump on board were often left without funding. Much of this grant money isnt so much spent trying to confirm global warming as it is spent finding ways to lower carbon emissions...with the assumption already in place that carbon emissions are causing global warming and all of our natural disasters. Forest fires, floods, its all because of global warming!

Except that last year was one of the slowest years for forest fires in a decade. And this last winter is one of the coldest on record. And I saw in the news a month ago that scientists think we might be entering a cooling trend.

Temperatures have fluctuated throughout our history, (mainly due to changes in our suns intensity). Try researching medieval warming period and the Little Ice Age for starters. Recently in the news there were also reports of scientists falsifying evidence promoting global warming.

Motive? Well, different motives for different people I would guess. Money would be a good one...there is def money in global warming...in the form of grants.

Respect is another motive- if you were a major proponent of global warming and discovered in your studies that you couldnt prove there was any absolute link between carbon and warming, would you come out and announce it? Youd lose your credibility to the public and your peers, and credibility is a big deal to a scientist. Its the bandwagon!

Who wants to jump off the bandwagon? There are actually many scientists who don't agree with the theory, but theyre given little press time or publicity. IMHO most of this nonsense started with the U.N. and our govt...why would they want to deceive us?

Could be ignorance or perhaps they have a more nefarious purpose...either one wouldnt surprise me.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
