I don't have facebook (or other social networking sites) because I found myself logging on when I was going to do homework and mindlessly scrolling through the updates and photos like a zombie. Even though I had plenty of 'friends', there was never any news or anything. Honestly, going on Facebook for over an hour just made me feel depressed.
Before I deleted it, I got the email addresses of overseas friends/people who lived far away so I could still keep in contact with them. Occasionally I ask one of my friends "What's new on Facebook?" And the reply is always: "Uhmm...nothin much."
Sooo yeah! For me Facebook = depressing, boring, mindless, just generally s**t. And no Facebook = do more interesting stuff, go places, play sport, listen to music, study, read.
Oh and intelligence has nothing to do with Facebook....Albert Einstein has a Facebook.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
