Tempting as invisibility is, I choose flight. It would solve SO many real-world problems. Flat tire?
Fly the rest of the way. Gas prices too high? No worries.
Want to go to an event, but don't want to spend most of the weekend driving to and from? Fly cross country! Oh, sure, there are the awkward encounters with bird attacks, drunk jerks shooting at you, having to carry all your luggage on person.
Everything comes with a price. I want it NOW! Please?
Invisibilty , invisibilty makes you more super human then flight . You can really see the real world.
I have to go with flight. Being invisible may not be as cool as it sounds and actually very dangerouse. Here is the problem: in order to be invisible you will have to be completely translucid, this means you don't have any pigment in your body.
This includes the pigments in your photoreceptor cells of the retina (also the ones in the retinal pigment epithelium). The light will just past through your eyes and you will never notice it.
I'm going with flight since you're going to experience something that is way out of our common experience. Being invisible is certainly cool, but my guess is you're not going to experience things that are that outside of your normal experience.
Flight. I LOVE flying (and hoping to get my pilots license as soon as I find the cash).
This morning I was listening to This American Life, and the episode was an old one, from way back in February 2001, called Superpowers. The intro segment featured very famous cartoonist, Chris Ware talking about his awkward childhood, but the first real segment was a very young John Hodgman discussing the idea of Flight vs. Invisibility. Those powers don't come with any other enhancements, and there's no one else who has it.
Based on your choice, what would you do?
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
