I have had Vonage and now have Comcast. I had trouble with people clarity on Vonage, but not enough to get rid of it. I also had to suffer a month without direct phone because my number did not transfer over right away (that meant that people could not reach me directly unless they called a special number).
The biggest issue I had with VoIP is that when it goes down, you have to figure out if it is it or cable that is causing it. Also, when your internet goes down, you're left without a phone. Big headache.
I have Comast because it is cheaper to get all three from them and having phone means that if it goes out, I am a priority (over people who only have TV or have TV plus cable) because they see phone as a priority.
I like my AT&T Uverse version, but it's $40 a month for unlimited. So I'm thinking about MagicJack because it's only $40 the first *year*. I have friends who use Vonage, but their connection always sounds worse than my AT&T Uverse.
I'm hoping MagicJack will be as good or I'll have to switch back.
Different providers may come up with different features and plans. There are online reviews which would provide you with the essentials in choosing a provider. Www.Pbx101.com.
Generally the service comes from two places. First is your bandwidth. Having DSL with 1.5mbs down and 76kbs up, is great if that is all you are doing.
The 768kbs up is the bottleneck on your end. On their end it is the number of "routes" you have to do to get to your destination. As far as services, aside from the "triple" plays (optimum voice FTW), skype is the best computer VoIP solution, but recently magicJack has been good.
I have Vonage, but it is not much better than regular phone. According to most people I talked to, and most reviews I have read, Comcast is good for VoiP.
I've been using RingCentral for years and it work fine. Great customer support.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
