Whitney Houston will be on Oprah's show next month. Is it truly the "the most anticipated music interview of the decade?

Perhaps 15 years ago, this would have been the "interview of the decade". With the bumpy course that the singer has taken over the years, it is more likely to be nothing more than an interesting view. With frequent stops in the tabloid news for unflattering reasons and a failed reality show, Oprah may be hoping for more than this interview can really deliver.

I would love to see Whitney make a career comeback as she had one of the most amazing voices ever heard in her genre. It just does not seem this will be the most likely outcome.

That's scary. I will not be watching. I love old school Whitney, but most of her recent stuff has been sorely lacking.

I also don't really care about her personal problems, and she seems to be more famous for those issues than because of her voice these past few years. I think she might have peaked (along with Kevin Costner) with The Bodyguard.

No, I think Michael Jacksons last interview was far superior then this could ever be. They reaired it post his passing and it reminded me of a few things, one this guy is the hugest thing around (both pre and post passing) and the interview asked hard questions, and got odd answers back that really humanized Michael for me. The Whitney/Oprah interview might win the ratings war against the Michael Documentary (an entire hour with just him and that British interviewer and footage) but will have a far greater reverberation in the musical OR journalism circles.

Don't get me wrong, I think Whitney is back, and her new album will definitely SELL a ton of records, BUT based on the question, NO. There are other examples I can think of interview-wise that will probably have more impact. Also Oprah will pull in some viewers as will Whitney and it will be impossible to say exactly who had what impact.

For example, recent interviews with living Beatles about proposed itunes Beatle song listings have garnered worldwide attention. There are others that currently evade me, but long story short no.

No, I probably won't watch. Although Houston has had several ups and downs throughout her career and has had a turbulent personal life, (Bobby Brown), there are other stars that would qualify more. Furthermore, I don't believe that she's done anything note worthy to be considered the interview of the decade.

There are many performers that give up their time, money, ect. To support causes, raise awareness, and have also had their fair share of obstacles to overcome. I think that it's important to showcase more individuals like these, which is what Oprah usually does.

Sure I will watch, Oprah will ask the questions that give us the answers we want to know about. That is if Whitney is willing to answer, hopefully the questions aren't candy coated, milk-toast meatballs. Maybe she will ask something like "What the heck happened to you?" or "What the heck were you thinking?

" maybe even "Really Whitney, how could you have not predicted or seen the outcome of you behavior? " or "Where has your 'Greatest Love of All' gone?" Maybe Oprah will use this interview as a soap-box to reinforce one of her valued causes.

Maybe Whitney has something VERY interesting to say or announce. At worst we will end up just knowing about her favorite color or which pets she like to rescue and of course how haaaaard she has worked on her new album and when she will be releasing it but at best this interview might be very interesting and enlightening.

Not sure if this is an anticipated interview ... I do look forward to hearing her performance more than learning about her personal life. I believe this is one of the most anticipated albums of the year simply because it is backed by Clive Davis who has the "midas touch. " I remember when the Bodyguard soundtrack came out and Whitney's music was played on the hour every hour.

She has fallen off the map sense than but I believe with Clive's help we can look forward to her successful return.

The answer to this question is no. Whitney Houston right now is like an angel with out wings. The aging songstress who turned 56 on the 9th of august surely has past her prime.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
