Comedy as an art form has been around for quite some time. The list of famous comedians is long, but some of those that have left an indelible mark on the art. These include Groucho Marx, the three Stooges, Gene Wilder, his late wife Gilda Radner, Dr. Bill Cosby, Suzanne Somers, the late John Ritter, the late Don Knotts, current phenomenon Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Eddie Murphy, and Jane Curtin of the hit 80s show Kate and Ally.

Suzanne Somers and the late John Ritter were both of 70s comedy show Three’s Company. The late Done Knotts also was in that that plus The Andy Griffith Show. Other Saturday Night Live alum include Molly Shannon and acting legend Betty White.

Also from Golden Girls are the late Bea Arthur and the late Rue McClanahan. We all remember the late Archie Bunker and meathead Rob Reiner. Woody Allen has been considered one of the great comedians, in addition to his extensive film work.
