Speaking as an Irish person there have been no 'good' British prime-ministers. If it was a compulsory question, I suppose it would be Asquith, MacDonald & Atlee.
Harold Macmillan because he saved our status internationally after Suez and he popularized Keyenesian economics. Wasn't afraid to criticize his own party. Clement Atlee because NHS et al.
Harold Wilson for bringing in the legalization of abortion and homosexuality. He abolished the death penalty, got rid of censorship, and helped with liberalising divorce.
Tony Blair for being the champion of the people and giving what he did to working class and middle England during the New Labour years is one of my top three British Prime Ministers. Winston Churchill for his efforts during the second world war. And my third favorite prime minister John Major.
S down to earth style of leadership was appealing though is policies leave a lot to be desired.
