I had a tough judge for a while. I fired him, seriously, I fired him. He was ruining my life.
This composite judge that I had "hired" from a young age didn't reflect who I was, didn't value me enough, the sweet nature of my father and mother or anybody real. It was a composite character that beat me up and, consequently, I was never good enough for him. That held me back in college, martial arts and work.
I needed a nurturing coach, somebody who COACHED me not JUDGED me. So fire this judge and create a good coach in your head with the attributes that will help you reach your goals, whatever they may be: to be happy, to reach whatever goal you seek, but your coach doesn't judge you in the process. If you want to have a fire/hire ceremony for emphasis, go ahead.
Another suggestion, learn about coaching techniques - if you don't coach already - then train your coach to help you in a constructive and nurturing way. Enjoy life. Don't confuse perfection with success.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
