Who do you think is/was the more accomplished actor - Robert De Niro or Paul Newman?

They also have very different actig styles. I love both actors, but I think that Paul Newman had a lot of really great roles whereas De Niro, as he has gotten older, has become a caracature of sorts. How many times has someone said "You tawkin ta me?"

He's amazing though and I love him, I just really have an affection for Paul Newman. He was in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. When that movie came out, people weren't gay, that was just not ok, and he took on that role (although the movie is still heavily edited as compared to the play).

That takes guts. A lot of it. I feel that his career aged a bit more gracefully than De Niro's as well.

Again, De Niro does great work constantly but sometimes I don't understand why he takes some of the projects that he does. Plus Newman's cookies are the best :).

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
