Who else despises the fact that Rand Paul is endorsing Mitt Romney?

I don't blame Rand. The political reality is, if he stays mainstream, one of the good old boys, he will have a better chance than his father to get elected President. Ron as he's stated, is running to keep his ideas in the mix.

Otherwise we end up with pure popularity contest, instead of the 98% pop contest as it has existed since before you were born. What encourages me is that thousands of people esp. Young people, go to hear Dr. Paul's lectures on government.

If I was a government teacher -- even a Liberal one -- I'd drag my charges off to hear him. So Senator Paul is bringing in the youth vote. Plus, millions of Democrats will be voting for him.

Don't count him out.

I have to say that some of the description within your question is highly questionable. Do you have any peer reviewed studies to back up your claims? To answer your question however, I do feel betrayed that Rand Paul endorsed Romney, however to win in politics, you have to sell yourself out to some degree, and this is why I feel politics is not the paradigm we can utilize for change.

Many core issues, such as health care, marriage, and states rights are debated back and forth for decades, and yet, neither side is really any further forward, which makes me believe state politics is a waste of time, and is only really there to give us an illusion of choice.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
