My profile says that I've given M$1,559.77. However, I've only really given around M$1000. A while ago, I helped run the Question of the Day contest and Mahalo transferred money for me to give to people as a reward.
That added up to somewhere around M$500. I regularly give people M$'s. Sometimes, it's to say thank-you for helping me do something, other times it's just for being in the right place at the right time, other times it's contests while often, I simply just tip.
I wouldn't say that it is better to give M$'s than it is to receive them - however it's a great way to interact with people!
I like the giving better than the receiving. I actually do the work so I will receive the money all so I will have the ability to give it away back to the Mahalo community. I feel this is a win - win - win, I win by getting to have fun, learn a few things, and try to improve my writing, Mahalo and the askers win by getting a few of their pages managed and a lot of their questions answered well, and the fellow Mahalo community members win because Mahalo pays me dough for doing something I love to do and I give this dough back to the Mahalo community. My profile in M$100 high in the "tips received" section because Mahalo at one time gave me M$100 to give back to the community as a member of a "tipping team" but the rest of the statistic is correct and all of that money I have given back I have earned first.
Being able to give them back is the first motive to earn Mahalo Dollars for me.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
